If you are a typical Italian ("typical" meaning you are 1st or 2nd generation Italian), The menu for the week is actually quite simple.
Sticking to my family's tradition, Every Sunday, everybody get together to eat, talk, laugh, and maybe have an occasional fist fight.
But most of all to love life.
30 years later I noticed that every Sunday we ate the same thing. Every Sunday we are going to recreate that meal for your family, with big bowls in the middle of the table, a jug of homemade wine (byob) & nice Italian music.

Monday Mom was tired from cooking on Sunday then working in our hero shop on monday, so we kept it simple...
A Nice Bowl of Salad always the same dressing (vinegar & oil), Pasta Fagioli, (beans & Macaroni), Pan Fried Veal Cutlet (Milanese Style), with a side of Sauteed Broccoli Rabe. $16 per person

In my house you usually have the same sauce like Sunday.

Wednesday (Mercoledi)
On Wednesday it was fish at my house, if you didn't like it you went to the nearest: pizzeria to pick out a pie.

If you don't go out for dinner, you might enjoy trying one of the more gourmaet dishes like steak or grilled fish.
